Your cat should travel in safety and comfort
A travel carrier is essential for transporting your cat or kitten. A carrier will keep her safe while riding in your car and it will give her a sense of security. Our cat carriers come in many sizes, styles, colors, and different materials. We carry inexpensive plastic carriers and an inexpensive cardboard carrier, sport carriers, soft-sided carriers, wheeled carriers, frontpack carriers, backpack carriers, sturdy, state of the art plastic carriers. Many of our cat travel carriers are faa approved and airline approved for taking your cat on flights.
We all know that our cats don't like to go to the vet. Usually when they see their carrier they head for cover!
- This behavior can be changed if you put the carrier out and leave it open without the door on it. You can put comfortable bedding in it, and a little catnip wouldn't hurt. If the cat gets used to seeing the carrier and even sleeping in it while it is out, he or she is much less apt to run and hide when you actually have to go on an outing.
- You can also get your cat used to short rides that don't end up at the vet's office. Start with a spin around the block. After a while the cat will get used to being in a carrier and going for rides.
- Patience is the trick!
